There are many types of classifications of fireworks and their effects. Explained here are some of the effects and the general terminology used for describing fireworks.
Hard breaks, medium breaks, soft breaks and long duration are some of the main effects discussed. Hard breaks are round, full bodied and heavy in density. Medium breaks are less bodied, have less density and split. Soft breaks have chasing, glittering, strobing and crackling effects. Long duration have tracing stars and have a hanging effect.
